Shumbi Wayubi

PALO ALTO, CA — Shumbi has announced today availability of its Wayubi multi-touch gesture recognition engine for licensing to third party hardware OEMs and touch screen manufacturers.

As part of Shumbi’s evaluation kit for developers, they have also written a showcase application which allows OEM’s to evaluate their patent pending GB0914269 multi-touch gesture technology Wayubi (www.wayubi.com). CEO Justin Staines made the announcement.

“Shumbi Wayubi is our patent pending multi-touch gesture recognition engine. The Wayubi engine allows dynamic creation and utilisation of multi-touch gestures within your application,” said Staines. “Many platforms such as Windows 7 now have multi-touch built-in, but as standard the range of gestures recognised within the OS is limited. The Wayubi engine removes this limitation and allows you to define at application level or by the user themselves any form of multi-touch gesture they want.”

Key Features of the Wayubi engine include dynamic creation and use of multi-touch gestures, no training, high speed C++ engine, small footprint and hardware independence.

Further details of the Wayubi engine are available upon request.
