“Multi-touch and immersive user experience will shape the way we interact with computing devices – so we need to re-invent search for them.”, Justin CEO and Co-founder of Shumbi.
It seems obvious today – but back when Justin and Martyn got together to create Shumbi Discover, all they had was a hunch and a passion for creating great user experiences, and create a more interactive searching experience through the use of touch and pen.
Picking up a bunch of other talented people on the way, they set about designing interfaces and starting the challenging process of building a discovery engine using deep web searching, specifically for devices which use pen and multi-touch technologies.
Shumbi Discover is first appearing bundled with Wacom’s Bamboo range of pen and touch tablets throughout Europe. It is now gathering momentum as a fun alternative discovery engine, converting fans around the world.
Later this year will see the unveiling of Shumbi Discover for OS X – the world’s first discovery and annotation SaaS (software as a service) specifically for touch devices and the touch web.
